Rerouting a UPS or Fedex package back to you due to scammer

I had sold a PS4 last Thursday 9/13, and usually with this time of year, I like to send items out the next day or so, so that they get it in time for Christmas.  Anyhow, I shipped out the PS4 via Fedex the next business day.  A day later, without my input, Paypal refunded the buyer due to an unauthorized transaction.  CRAP!  The item was on it’s away already.  Luckily, I was able to call up Fedex and gave the rep the tracking number and verified the SHIPPER’S INFO (me,) and the rep put in the ticket for it to be re-routed back to me.  I didn’t need to follow up with them after that.  A few days later, sure enough, it came back to me.  On the same day, the idiot scammer sends me a message, which I just facepalm.

Usually for high dollar items like Ipads and PS4’s, when you get a buyer with 0 feedback, it’s best to just wait 2-3 days in case the person that got scammed reports it in time.  If that hasn’t happened and you’ve already shipped it out, you may still have recourse in recalling the package with Fedex, UPS, and I think even USPS Priority (fee involved.)  If you can’t recall it, you may still win the Paypal dispute since you shipped it to the buyer.
