How I did on those Billy Joel Phoenix tickets

I’m old enough to know who Billy Joel is, but I don’t really follow his tours and whatnot, so I went in pretty blind on this flip.  I don’t think there was a verified fan for this one (I think other cities had it.)  I didn’t think he could sell out a stadium, much less in Phoenix, so I had put this on a 2.5-3 on the risk/reward scale.  That’s why I was pretty late to buy these tickets (prob 15-30 minutes late.)  Even being that late, I was able to pull up 3 x F4 tickets.  It seemed the disparity between nosebleeds and floors were very small.  Looking back at it now, it seems nosebleeds were $100 and floors were prob $150.  After fees, it cost me $563 for the 3 tickets.  When the price disparity between nosebleeds and floors are that small, you want the best possible seats.

This was 2 weeks ago.  Yesterday, I finally sold the tickets.  My takehome was $688, so a profit of $125 and a 22% ROI.  I’ll take that for being late to the party.  I think due to the price disparity and my luck of getting good seats made this a winner.  If I had bought nosebleeds, I’d be in the negative now.
