Yes, you can get a second MC011 from Ebay

During the height of the pandemic (early 2020) when all video games were great flips, someone I know had gotten the dreaded Ebay MC011 due to a ramp up in sales. He was able to upload all tracking numbers and receipts and his account was cleared.

Over the years, as reselling has slowed, his account also had very little sales (maybe $250 a week.) Then a month ago, a buyer bought 5 of the same item and it jumped up to like $1600. Then he restocked that item and the same buyer bought another $2700 of that item. The next day, he got sent the dreaded MC011, asking for tracking number and receipts of ALL THE LISTED ITEMS, not just the sold items (which is the most annoying part.)

So yeah, Ebay’s MC011 algorithm can get you a 2nd time if you had an out of ordinary jump in sales. The lesson learned here is to watch out for any big ramp in sales. I had a scare recently over the holiday weekend, and I set the item quantity to 0 on Sunday night just so I slowed down sales and not get MC011’ed on my account before I could ship out the items. You can sort of track this yourself – see how much you’re selling weekly – if you’re selling $1K a week and you all of a sudden sell $5K in 1 day, that may trigger the algorithm. Since I’ve been banned like 5 times from Ebay, I’m very cognizant of any ramp up in sales these days (I list items with quantity 2 even though I may have a dozen so I can slow roll sales.)
