An update to the Paceline card

First off, I haven’t been shut down yet, but I’m expecting for it to happen any day now.

In my old post, I said that there was a limit of $500 per transaction. I had been doing that until one day, the cashier forgot to do a split payment and I was SHOCKED to see a $3K charge go through. The odd thing is that I tried to do another $3K charge the following day or so and couldn’t do it again. Actually, I haven’t been able to do a charge that high since then, so now I’m wondering if I was under some kind of 24 hour or weekly limit. Ever since that fluke charge though, I’ve been able to consistently put through $2K charges, and just a few days ago, put in a $2.5K charge. So this proves that the card can be ‘trained’ for higher limits.

I did eventually buy an Apple Watch that I’m receiving weekly credits for. Just make sure you click through the app and use your Paceline Visa card at checkout.

Lastly, about the 150 minutes of workout, you don’t need to work out 5 days a week. I usually get 75 minutes a week just doing normal stuff like errands and whatnot. So you just need to work out for 50 minutes one day a week and then half-ass another day. I walked my dog the other day and that counted for 15-20 minutes, so you don’t have to go hard-core. A few walks a week and you should be good. Else you can do a 30 minute HIIT video on Youtube. You don’t even need to follow all the moves; just doing jumping jacks will spike your heart rate, so do some jumping jacks, rest a bit and when your heart rate falls too low, do some more. Rinse and repeat.

Pacline still gives you the $1 Amazon a week and once a month, they’ll give you a $5 Starbucks/Target gift card.

With all that said, the fraud on that card is very fussy, so I ONLY put the same $2K charges at the same store. I think one time I tried a <$100 charge at a drug store and the card got declined (gave me flashbacks of the WF 5% card being so fussy.) Since my CL is only $15K or so, I do need to make at least 1-2 payments a week since it takes time to free up the CL. Do I recommend this card as a daily driver? NO. Do I recommend this card if you’re a grocery MS’er? YES!
