Back in April or so, there were some NLL links for the ABP and ABG cards. I applied for P2 both on the same day and was approved for both. Then in May, I intentionally applied for them AGAIN knowing they’d both get rejected due to me being within 90 days of last approval. Good thing I did because the links died shortly after. I had applied for them on May 21. I had P2 call in on 8/19, which is exactly 90 days since application and luckily they were able to reprocess both apps for approval.
Also in May, I had applied for both the heightened offers on both the Schwab and MS cards on the same day. The Schwab got approved but the MS card was denied due to the Schwab approval (I guess same PLAT family.) I was lazy and didn’t put in a 2nd MS app a few weeks later. The links eventually died. This one was tricky because a) apps last 90 days and b) I can’t get approved again for a PLAT since 90 days past last approval. I had applied on May 11. I called in on Aug 13, which was 94 days since application. The rep told me apps only last 90 days so I couldn’t get it reprocessed. Oh well, that was a lesson learned.
Lesson learned – if you see a juicy offer, apply for the card and then maybe wait a week to apply for it again (you’ll be denied.) Then call back 85 or so days later to reprocess the 2nd app. Just don’t wait over 90 days.
