Review – Tineco Floor One S3 vacuum wet mop

A few weeks ago, someone recommended the Tineco S3 vacuum mop to me. I was too lazy to vacuum the hardwood floor AND then use my mop after. It’s funny because I vaguely remember trying to resell these Tineco mops a few years ago when they blew up in popularity. Anyway, now that I’ve used it for a few weeks, let me tell you that it’s been a game changer. Just the ease of use – turn on, push it like a vacuum and it vacuums and mops at the same time. Then put it back on the base for it to self clean and charge. Can pick up small bits of food (I manually pick up the big bits of food.) The mopping function is great and the floors dry within 5 minutes or so. This is great because my dog would drag his wet paws into the house.

The only complaint I have is that the S3’s water reservoir is pretty small – you’d have to refill it at least once if you’re doing about a 1000 sq feet area. And the dirty tank reservour isn’t much bigger either. The annoying thing is that they don’t empty and fill up at the same time, meaning 15 minutes in, you’ll have to stop the vaccum to change out the dirty water. Then 5 minutes later, you have to stop and add more clean water. Then 10 minutes later, the dirty water, etc. I think looking back, I think the S5 has a bigger reservoir and so it may be worth the extra money just to not have to stop the vacuum so often.

Right now the S3 is $259 on Amazon for Prime Day. Here’s a non affiliate link. You can search for the S5 if you want.
