I had been banned by Capital One back in June of 2017. I don’t think I ever tried applying for their cards ever since because I had heard that they may approve you but will axe you shortly after. Actually I think I did try for a Capital One Spark a few years ago and was denied. Anyway, bored and for the sake of this blog, I went ahead and applied for a Capital One card back in mid September. I wanted to get their Spark Cash Plus card with the $1,000 bonus. However, they gave me such a weak credit limit (only $3K) that I didn’t actually qualify to get the Spark Cash Plus card. I got the nerfed 1.5% Spark Cash Select card instead. On the bright side, the card did offer a $500 bonus if I had met some lowly spend requirement. I had met that spend requirement with the MINT, but they cancelled my order, so I’ll have to spend some more on the card.
It’s been 6 weeks now and I’m happy to write that I’m still alive. For how long, who knows… Just wanted to write a quick post that it is possible to get back in with Capital One.
how were you able to get capital one? they are hard to get approved for if you have a lot of inquries or no balances on other cards
