Ever since Safeway switched to Incomm as their GC provider (around the end of July,) they didn’t bother to turn off the flag to reward points on the VGC. Thus every $500 VGC earned you 10 rewards which was worth about $10 back or so. Well it seems they finally fixed it around mid November, so it was a great run. I mean, it’s happened in the past too, so it’s not a new thing. The lesson learned is if you see a new VGC on the rack, go test it out.
