Safeway came out with 2 new Mastercard gift cards about a month ago. The “Celebrate” ones above and the white “World” ones. If you bought the “Celebrate” ones above and punched in your phone number, then you would have known that it was giving out Safeway rewards. If you didn’t see them, then your store was slow to roll these out or worse case, someone was hiding and/or buying them all up. This died about a week ago, but you had about 2-3 weeks where you were earning rewards. Lesson Learned – When a new VGC or MGC design comes out, buy it and see if it earns rewards.
