Why you should start product labeling your FBA items

I had sent in 3 shipments to Amazon FBA with 2-3 Microsoft XBOX units in each box. I had sent in more shipments than that, but for some reason, those 3 shipments were checked in as 0 units in the box. Now I KNOW I put units in there and the boxes were sturdy, so I doubt they just fell out of the box. I thought this was just a coincidence, but I talked to someone else and they were having similar issues too. Then last week, a 3rd person told me he FBA checked in a 2 unit box as 0 units too. The common denominator for all 3 people were that we were having Amazon label the items.

I think with the ramp up in new FBA warehouses, these new hires are just incompetent. I don’t think they are stealing the items and I sure don’t think all of us had items fall out mid-shipment. I think they are just forgetting to label the items or forgetting to check in the items after labeling them. I didn’t keep track of exactly which warehouses these were sent into. To play it safe however, I think for the foreseeable future, it’s best to label your own products if you’re shipping them into FBA.

  1. And even labeling your stuff wont prevent the warehouse clowns from losing items, but there’s less of a chance if you’re doing it yourself.

Get the Avery 30 labels per sheet and print on a laser printer. Cheap, quick, and easy. Also NEVER comingle your stuff or you’ll have constant problems.
