How we did on those Lego dinosaurs

A few weeks ago, I told my Slack about a reselling opportunity. Those Lego dinosaurs were selling for $60, but Lego was also giving out a gingerbread house for ever $100 purchase, so if you bought 2 dinos, it cost you about $120+tax and you got a gingerbread house. Here’s the going rate for those dinos:

Thus, the dinos were going for about $90 gross. Add about $20 for ship and fees and you’re just at $5 profit, so not much. However, the profit came in the gingerbread house since those were going for about $30 (net $20 after fees.) Thus, you netted about $25 for all 3 items. Scale this up by buying multiples at your local store and you could walk away with a few hundred dollars.

The funny thing is they are still in stock at most Lego stores so one Slack member bought 6 last week, sold the 6 in a few days, and went back to get 6 more yesterday and 4 of those sold already too. Easy money. Look, you’re not going to hit home runs like the mint coin. It’s singles here and there that adds up in the course of a month.
