How I did on those Elton John Los Angeles show

I had written about my Portland tickets already where I had about a 43% ROI.  I had bought some floor tickets back in mid February 2018 (yes, a long ass float.)  I had listed these on Vivid seats and these didn’t do quite as well.  All in all, I was -13% ROI on this one.  Even though the show was on a Friday night January 25, 2019, I think a few things did me in that you guys should learn from.

Problem 1 – This was his 3rd show that week.  He was there on the 22nd, 23rd, 25th, and 30th.  While it was great that it was a Friday night and I had floor seats, similar to Garth Brooks, it’s just too many shows.  Supply met demand in this instance. I really should have just stayed away.  If not, maybe go for the first show.

Problem 2 – I listed this on Vivid.  It’s a long story, but Vivid isn’t really the best site for a show like this.  I should have listed these on axs or Stubhub, so I had fewer eyes on my tickets.

While this was a stinker, my Seattle ones are ON FIRE because I didn’t make the same mistakes here.
