Introduction
The Alliant 3% card is a card most HHs (heavy hitters) use. They’ve been cycling the card and running some pretty big numbers on the card. Well, it seem as of 1/30, they aren’t giving 3% on giftcards.com purchases and to make matters worse, I heard they aren’t even giving 1% on it. Straight 0% on the earn side.
They also sent out a letter to the HH’s basically saying, “You aren’t using this card as intended. You are using this card as a business card.” Clearly they made up the last part since they couldn’t come up with “manufactured spend” but instead went with the politically correct “business use” excuse. On the bright side, they haven’t shut anyone down yet, but it’s clear they will if the HH’s keep up their spend. Looks like another card that will be sock drawered.
