You bought today’s Navy coin, now what

After you ordered today’s US Mint Navy coin, fill out this form with your order number.

Next, wait for the coin to arrive. Expect a small box in the mail. Try to NOT open the box when it arrives. Alert anyone that lives with you or your friends and family to NOT open the box. Once the coin is in hand, come back to this post and I’ll have a shipping label form request below. You fill that form out with your payment info as well. After that you’ll be emailed a prepaid insured shipping label (these are sent out on BUSINESS DAYS and may take an extra day if you missed the day’s batch.)

Add some tape to the box if the MINT did a crappy job mailing the box to you. If you bought multiples, then combine all the MINT shipping boxes into a bigger box and mail out the bigger box. You drop it off and keep the receipt. You’ll then be paid within 2-3 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER DELIVERY (e.g. it’s delivered on a Friday; you won’t be paid until Tuesday/Wednesday, NOT Sunday/Monday.

Shipping label form request here:

  • If you don’t have a strong preference, then if you live on the East coast, choose UPS. If you live on the West coast, choose Fedex. This will make your coins arrive faster and thus you’ll be paid out sooner. For instance, if the Fedex is 30 minutes away verus a 5 minute drive to UPS, then pick UPS, but if both are roughly the same distance away, then pick it based on geography.
  • If you STRONGLY PREFER Fedex, use this label.
  • If you STRONGLY PREFER UPS, use this label (no more UPS labels. Use a Fedex label instead)

  1. One box was accidentally opened before I was able to alert them not to. They just looked at the receipt inside and closed it back up and re-taped. Is that still ok, or is that a no go?

  2. I submitted the form for a UPS label on Tuesday and haven’t received it yet. Do I need to fill the form out again?

  3. You should update that Google form to have a specific question line for the Order Number. I almost forgot to include it, but I put it in comments section.
