Getting approved for the new Alaska ATMOS Infinite card

I really wasn’t going to apply for this card until I saw this tidbit:

I’m SHOCKED that they’re leaving it uncapped. I just looked at my $28K CL Premium Rewards card statement last month and I spent $80K on it. If i shifted (not shifted since this extra bandwidth will replace an inferior card’s earnings,) that means I would have achieved Atmos Gold status in a single month. It’s wild because I haven’t been Alaska MVP Gold in a long ass time. That means in 2.5 months, I’ll have hit Atmos Titanium status…lol. This doesn’t even account for the miles earned on the cc as well as tier bonuses along the way. Alaska lounges and upgrade lists about to be bombarded with MS’ers. Reminds me of the pic of Richard Branson choking FM when FM told him he used miles to book Necker Island.

I just know Alaska is gonna regret this and cap the status earnings on the card in a year or two. Better question – will these status points go towards Million Miler?

  1. I got this card with a 40k CL and I’m going to go for the 60k spend for 100k global companion cert. I rarely take domestic oneworld flights so i think i’ll stop there.

I’m at 30k after a month of Costco.

  2. This just lines up with AA, doesn’t it? With AA Exec card, Exec Plat is also exactly 180k spend, Plat Pro is 105k spend (vs 130k for AS 75k/Plat), Plat is 65k (vs 60k for AS Gold with 100k companion sweetener).
