I had bought these Destination Maternity gift cards way back in the day (prob 5+ years ago.) I probably bought it because of an AMEX offer of 20% off or so. I thought I’d use them one day but just stashed them away. I found them the other day and coulnd’t check the balance online. I then emailed the company and this is what they wrote back.
I think I had some Old Country Buffet gift cards go to waste because they closed all the locations near me. I had a Helly Hansen gift card which mysteriously drained on me. I have some Eddie Bauer gift cards that I know I need to use up before something happens to them too. I have an Everything But Water gift card that I know is going to hit $0 on me one day. Express just filed for bankruptcy so you better use those up ASAP.
The lesson learned here is don’t buy gift cards just because they are 20% off thinking you’d use them one day because the retailer may not exist by then.
Unfortunately, Marquee Brands did not own Motherhood when you were credited for your store credit or purchased your gift card or gift certificate. Therefore, we cannot legally be held responsible for the value of that credit, gift card or gift certificate.
The Motherhood company that issued the store credit is no longer in business and is a dissolved company. The company is no longer in existence therefore the store credit is not valid.
