I bought a money order yesterday and noticed the paper had switched over to what you see above. The most noticeable changes are that the amount field is in yellow instead of white (maybe to help ATM machines read it better?) and now below the signature box it says “Mobile Deposit Prohibited.”
I know some people were mobile depositing the mo’s and some banks started to push back (I know Schwab explicitly states that no more mo’s.) Either way, I just wanted to document this change.
I’ve just continued right on depositing them in my Wells Fargo mobile deposit. After about 10 over the last few weeks, I had one mobile
Deposit tell me “go to branch to deposit”. I just deposited another one (without the new marking) then went back to the same one a few mins later, took new pics, and it deposited fine.
I am keeping the deposited MOs though just in case

Hi there! SAME here. I just got 3 of them and started to fill them, then noticed the mobile deposit prohibited marking!! What did you do? We also bank w USAA and therefore do not have a branch option…. UGH! I was thinking about trying it anyway… but have paused.
