Price dropped on an Alaska flight? Call to get a credit

A while back, I watched a Tiktok of a girl who had booked a Delta flight and then the price dropped. She was able to then go online and get a travel credit for the price difference. She had mentioned that other airlines could do it as well, but she wasn’t sure which ones. Fast forward to last week when one of my Alaska Air flights had dropped in price. I called up AS and got a nice rep in Seattle who “took a look at it” and after a few keystrokes, she was able to credit me $60 back to my AS wallet. This saved me the hassle of having to cancel and then book a new flight, which I’m guessing is why they allow this to happen since it’s the same net outcome (although in the 2nd option, I’d be stuck with a bigger AS wallet.)

It was a First Class flight and in the same class, but I’m sure this would work for MAIN flights too (not sure about Saver.) Not sure if this works a 2nd time if the price drops again; my guess is that it SHOULD. Anyway, whether it’s Delta, Alaska or any other airline, if the price drops, call them up and see if they’ll give you a credit.
