I have been using my eBags travel backpack now for the past 7 years. It’s suited me fine but after all this time, I’ve noticed that it is a ‘heavy’ bag. It also doesn’t have the strap to sit on a carryon, which always annoyed me. Anyway, as I was browsing Tiktok the other day and I saw this backpack. These are the things that I liked about the backpack – the ‘secret’ passport compartment, the power charger cord on the outside, the carryon strap, the ‘wet’ compartment, and it also looked light.
I then went on Amazon and saw the backpack (this is her referral link since she influenced me.) The backpack was only $35 afteer coupon. I went ahead and got the XL one instead of the Large. I got it in yesterday and while I haven’t taken it for a spin yet, it looks nice and is more lightweight than my old eBags bag. Either way, you can’t go wrong for $35.
I’ve been using this backpack since 2020 and it’s my daily driver for everything. It’s interesting you liked the power port on the outside because I have never used the power port for anything since it’s much more convenient to use a magsafe battery pack instead of having wires tangling you up.
My favorite features are the secret compartment on the back (I also keep my passport in there! Used to keep my Covid vaccine card there too), the ability to open it up all the way to see everything inside, the waterproof compartment, the strap to attach to roller bag, and the separate laptop compartment which makes it easy to take the laptop out in foreign country security lanes and leave it unzipped (since there’s nothing else in there that could fall out) so it’s faster to put it the laptop back in too. The backpack is super lightweight and non-bulky and I keep a pair of flat slippers in the shoe compartment to use on airplanes that don’t provide them. The water bottle pocket is waterproof as well which is great for keeping an umbrella if needed. I like that the backpack isn’t stiff and structured like a lot of American backpacks.
I’ve never found a better backpack and I’ve tried a bunch. I got it on Aliexpress before it got popular, but now it’s all over Amazon made by many different private labelers.
