Review – Vuori Ponto Performance Pant

I haven’t reviewed any traveling pants in a while. I don’t know what prompted it – I’m guessing my searches for Public Rec, but I kept getting ads for these Vuori pants. Sure enough, it worked since I was converted to a customer. Anyway, I got the Performance Pant over the Sunday jogger since I didn’t want the tapered ankles.

Anyway, here’s my review – the pants are SUPER SOFT. Probably the softest pants I’ve ever worn. The only issue is that they aren’t as breathable as my Public Rec pants. I know this because a couple of times, I remember feeling hot in my living room with the pants on and I’ve never felt hot like that in my Public Rec pants. So that’s the biggest gripe.

As for leaving the house, they are relatively thin, so if it’s sub 50 degrees, you may not want to wear it outside. I wore it to run errands at the grocery store (perfectly fine,) but it’s defintely not stylish enough for a dinner with friends (local pizza place with your wife is fine.)

The pants don’t have zippers on the pockets, but the pockets are pretty deep and you can see your phone bulge out of the pockets. Once again, I’d prefer the zippers on the Public Rec pants.

So if you’re looking for some good lounging around the house pants and the occassional trip to run errands, they’re pretty good even though I’d still recomment the PR Everyday pants since they are more versatile. I’m kind of surprised I keep these pants in the weekly rotation even though I prefer the PR pants; think I keep it due to the softness of the material and decide to wear it based on the temp outside and how many errands I’m doing that day.
