Be mindful of how you ship items

I got a return request on an iPad Pro that I had sold on Mercari for $350. I had wrapped it with bubble wrap and stuck it in a box similar to a cereal box. I figured since I was protecting the screen, I was good to go. A week later, the buyer messaged me saying the iPad looked like this:

I thought there is no way this could have happened even with a drop and I assumed he was trying to scam me by sending his broken one back to me. Mercari forced me to accept the reeturn and days later, sure enough, that was the same iPad he sent me. I don’t know how this crack could have happened the way it did since it also had a case on it too. Maybe it was dropped on its bottom from a really high elevation; I have no idea…

The lesson learned here folks is don’t get lazy with packing expensive items. I should have known better but just got lazy in finding a bigger box.
