Citi didn’t like me being an AU on wife’s card

I was shut down from Citi 3 years ago. I was kind of shocked that they didn’t get my wife at the time. Anyway, I finally decided to add myself as an AU on her card due to an AU promo they have now. They mailed out the card, but then my wife’s card was blocked for a few days. She called in and they wouldn’t tell her why. Then they sent her a NEW CARD. A few days after that, I got this letter. I’m just glad they didn’t decide to axe her because of me.

  1. After being shut down by Citi it took seven years before I was able to be approved for its CCs again.

  2. I was banned from citi 6 or 7 years ago for abusing their 5% cb card (and Depositing large sums of cash to pay off said card) still occasionally try to open credit cards and am always rejected. Have you heard of anyone getting off their blacklist after
    X number of years?

  3. Thanks for posting. Good data. Maybe in another couple of years…

I’m still not bothering to try for an Amex BB or Serve, ever since the massive culling, which included me. What has it been? 3 yrs.? Probably too soon. My Amex cards (Biz cash and Everyday) are all still unaffected at least.
