New member hits $2K in profit since he joined my Slack 3 weeks ago

Around 3 weeks ago, I wrote about how one member had hit about $10K in profit YTD. One reader read it and joined on the same day as that post. A few days ago he wrote this:

As you can see, he’s right around $2K in profit out of $10K in net sales (so a 20% profit margin) in the past 3 weeks. This doesn’t account for the $30K of credit card spend. This is with him missing out on the Switch and Oculus’s we were selling back in the spring. It’s safe to say he’s made up his $40 monthly fees for the next 2 years.

Is this typical for a new member? I don’t know; he seems to be active in the Slack and putting in the time/effort to jump on deals. If you aren’t hitting all the deals, then you’ll probably won’t see the same results. Not all deals are winners, but it seems the items we’ve bought the past 3 weeks have been great so far.

I’ll probably raise the membership fee to $50 soon. If you want to lock in at the current rates, join here Slack .

  1. Vinh,

Could you make a final announcement before you increase the price? I mean I’d like to join, but can’t do the deals right now, and won’t be able to take full advantage of the membership. Trying to delay joining while still locking in the lower price 🙂

    Thanks!
