I wasn’t sure what was going to happen when COVID-19 hit; I assumed tickets were going to be normal, but they haven’t. I haven’t made any ticket purchases in 2 months. I get maybe 1-2 sales per week, shockingly at the same price I had them listed at before the shit hit the fan. I’ve cancelled a lot of shows; a lot of shows have cancelled on me that took a huge chunk of my profits (aka Lady Gagas Vegas.) Anyhow, I wasn’t sure what was going to happen during this pandemic.
Before COVID, the Slack group was 90% tickets and 10% goods. Then after COVID, we switched to 100% goods. The group had started to find opportunities where we could still make money. Surprisingly we assumed Oculus Quest VR headset inventory would catch up to demand by now, but it never did (it’s still on backorder a month out.) Since people are impatient and they all got stimulus checks, we were still flipping those bad boys. Another hot item were Nintendo Switches – bored kids and families at home want a Nintendo Switch. And the stars and moon aligned with the release of Animal Crossing, which threw fuel into the fire. Webcams were hot too (still sorta is these days.) But the group has moved on to other things by now.
One of our more active members said he cleared $10K of profit already just this year on goods (not counting his ticket sales.) Another user has cleared $5K. There’s a heavy hitter who jokingly said he bought a truck with his profits so far; we’re not quite sure if he’s kidding or not but we’re leaning not kidding. The amount of money you make is based on how much capital/time/effort you want to put into reselling.
The point is that the Slack is working. I can assure you that the opportunity talked about today would have cleared you around $500, so paying $40 for the entire month is peanuts. Now not all things are home runs; we had to return some things, but that’s fine. Not everything is a winner; you just have to recognize what’s going to be hot and just GO HARD. We do NOT talk about credit cards, MS, unicorns, travel (I mean we do, but it’s an afterthought.) This is a purely reselling focused Slack, so if you are opposed to reselling, then don’t join. If you do want to join -> Slack
