I realize most of us are old and probably don’t use Facebook anymore #deleteFacebook right? I still use it mainly for the groups and sometimes scroll through my feed. One of my friends posted, “Who wants to go see XYZ in 2 months?” I had never heard of this random singer before, but the name was pretty unique.
Fast forward a week or two, I see a post on Twitter that the singer was changing venues due to demand and that extra tickets were released. The venue capacity increased by 700. I then checked ticket inventory and there were over 300 left. That was still way too many to buy. Then a day later, it was down to 100 tickets. I immediately bought as many as I could. A week later, I’m selling the tickets for a 70% ROI!
The lesson learned here is that you should scour your Facebook feed and what your friends are into. You’ll get ideas that you probably wouldn’t have learned about otherwise.
