What to do if you stop getting selected for Ticketmaster Verified Fan

I’ve been hearing that lots of people aren’t being selected for Ticketmaster Verified Fan tickets anymore because you’ve been selling too many of the tickets.  Well you’re not the only one.  My main account hasn’t been selected in over a year.  However, my wife’s and my backup account are still getting chosen (not at 100% but enough to where I know it’s not “blacklisted” like my main account.)  Here’s what you can do to try to get selected again:

  1. Start creating new Ticketmaster accounts.  PREFERABLY USING A NEW IP ADDRESS AND BILLING ADDRESS and heck, maybe even a new or misspelled name.  I’ve been hearing that TM is linking some accounts due to the same billing address.  I sort of skirted around it because my secondary account is seasoned and I wasn’t doing verified fan on it that much back in the day.  So you need to SEASON THESE NEW ACCOUNTS.
  2. Buy regular tickets on these new accounts.  Ticketmaster won’t start giving you TM verified fan with new accounts with no purchases.  You need to look “human” to them.
  3. You’ll also need a new phone number (not Google Voice.)  I recommend the $3 a month T-Mobile PAYGO plan.  $36 a year is nothing if you can make that on one successful TM verified fan flip.

See, it doesn’t sound that bad huh?  OR the easier solution is to ask your friends or coworkers for their phone number and create TM accounts for them and you buy them lunch when they text you the fan code.

  1. Hi Vinh, thanks for explaining this. You have great content here. I’ve hit a 2 year dry spell with TMVF. How do you change your billing address? I’m guessing there’s no use in calling TM to see if they can confirm the ban or remove it?
