I love Beyonce. Okay, I don’t love Beyonce, but I feel if I didn’t write that, the internet would kill me. Let me say that I love old Beyonce like “Single Ladies,” “Halo,” and “If I was a boy.” I never got into “Lemonade” or whatnot, but I did stream her Coachella 2018 show and that was pure FIRE even though I didn’t recognize half the songs. Anyway, my friend had told me about a contest to win some Beyonce tickets. I entered the contest (one where you had to like their FB page, tweet them, refer other people, etc.) With the help of some friends, I was able to win the tickets. I thought the tickets would be nosebleed, but it turned out the seats were in the 9th row on the FLOOR. This was the closest I’ve ever been to the stage and they were AMAZING!
I thought the concert started out like the typical concert. They started off with a song off their new album. Then after that, they sort of took turns singing their own songs. Beyonce didn’t sing any of my 3 favorite songs. Jay-Z however knew better and sang his old hits like, “Big Pimpin,” “Dirt off your Shoulder,” “Paris.” I was actually enjoying his part more than her part! Anyway, I thought the show was okay (hard for me to be really impressed these days.) However being that close to the floor has made me wonder if I’ve been missing out for not being that close to Taylor Swift in the past. Definitely a #YOLO experience.
