I wrote about Ethbates a few weeks ago. At the time, I hadn’t used it yet. Of course the nugget was that they had Amazon listed as a partner. Ever since the Jetblue portal went on life support, there hasn’t been a good way to earn cashback via Amazon shopping. The instructions say to do this to earn on Amazon:

- Purchase your items at Amazon.com
- Screenshot or email us your order invoice to hello@ethbates.com.
So that’s what I did. I forwarded them the order email from Amazon and after 9 hours or so, I got an email back from them:
Hi Vinh,Thanks for shopping with Ethbates. Please allow up to 72 hours for after you item ships for your pending BUY to show up in your account.
It was for a used router from Amazon warehouse for $242. All of that was done on a Friday. By Monday, I saw 7278.90 pending in my account. Yes this was only 3% instead of the posted 5%. Then a few days later, Amazon was removed from their site. Then then tweeted me saying it’d be back, so now it’s back with these terms:

I was curious if you ever thought of changing the layout of your site?
Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could
connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one
or 2 images. Maybe you could space it out better?
I don’t think they are tracking correctly. I’m supposed to get 5% back with home Depot and it took up to three weeks to track with me opening up multiple tickets. When it finally tracked its not 5%. I really want to use them but it’s too much hassle compared with other portals .
