Back in November 2017, a reader dropped a nugget saying that Safeway was giving away gas points on CERTAIN Visa gift cards. I even hinted about it on Twitter. I mean, I don’t think I could have been more obvious. As you know, Safeway sells like 6-7 different designs of VGC – there’s balloons, colorful rafts, a solid black one, and others I can’t remember now. Well, only a few of the designs gave away 2X gas points. The deal lasted through the end of December I believe.
Lesson learned – if you’re only buying the same design/card every time you buy a VGC, maybe you should mix it up next time. And always enter your loyalty card just in case.

I’m not sure if the Safeway gas points are much different thank Kroger, but if you actually drive on a regular basis, Kroger gas points can be extremely valuable. Obviously YMMV, but I’m not sure why you took time to criticize Vihn…
