Introduction
I had applied for a Discover It card last September 2015 for my wife to take advantage of the Apple Pay / Discover promo. Well, Discover emailed this out yesterday:
This seems to have only gone out to new card members. Existing card members didn’t seem to get the email (even if they called in to get the promo.) As you can see from the screenshot, the majority of the match will be due to the Apple Pay promo. Also note the last line that “Your account must remain open to receive your reward.”
Conclusion
I never got this email for my Discover Miles card when I had applied for it in April of 2015, so it’s good to see that Discover is starting to send out these updates. Hopefully they’re sending these out every quarter and not just at your 9 month mark, but who knows.
Wow! That’s crazy! Do you mind telling me around how much you spend to get that cashback. I.e. how much of it was on the 1k for the applepay promotion?
