About 6 months or a year ago, Kohh’s started sending out ‘mystery coupon’ emails the day after their usual 30% Kohl’s chargecard holders end (about once a month.) These can go up to 40%. And you can use all GC vs having to put a portion on your charge card for the 30% off. I don’t think this stacks with Kohl’s Cash, but sometimes, it’s better to get 40% off than 30% off + $10 KC.
Bed Bath & Beyond
About once a month, BBB will send you either a 20% in-store or a 20% online coupon. Unfortunately the online one is only good for 1 item. I’ll let you think about how to maximize that. The in-store one is GREAT because you can take screenshots of your phone and swipe through the coupon photos for the person to scan. The first time I did it, the lady commented, “Wow and they are all unique!” Well duh lady! I wouldn’t be able to use them if they were the same.
Staples
Cross your fingers in case you get a $25 off $75 coupon, which I haven’t gotten in years. But it doesn’t hurt to subscribe.
Best Buy
About once or twice a year, they send a ‘mystery’ coupon that can only be used in store. The last time I took one in, the cashier said, “All I’ve seen are $5.” So there you go. I only had 2 but was able to stack them up (but I did buy multiple items.)
Pottery Barn / Crate & Barrel / West Elm
These stores (and I’m sure more out there) will send out 20% off codes once every quarter or so. I used to sell these on eBay for ~$5 to $15. I’ve gotten lazy lately, but it is a good way to make easy money. Beats trying to sell a used remote control for $5, right?
Saks / Nieman Marcus
A long long time ago (years ago,) they used to send out free coupon codes. These days, not good for anything
Macys / Bloomingdales
I don’t think they send out anything special anymore.

Staples did mystery rewards one time too. I remember because I got $25 on one with my wife’s account instead of the min $5 I got on mine.

January 2015 is the one I am thinking of, I don’t think that one was targeted at all – if you were signed up for emails from your rewards account, you got one. Slickdeals seems to say there was one in March 2015 too but I think that one was targeted and I didn’t get one on either rewards account. Both were tied to your staples rewards account, not general email or SMS subscriptions.
