UPDATE – Seems like the 15% off coupon code no longer works, but “2GO5” currently takes $5 off
Introduction
Okay, before you OG haters hate on this deal…yes, I call it the OG (sometimes I call it the OGizzle,) just know that you can use this at Capital Grille, who by the way, have some pretty good steaks. My wife and I love the OG. We usually buy an entree and get their unlimited soup/salad (salad usually.) I don’t like their breadsticks anymore; too hard and salty. And we even say ‘no croutons’ in the salad. I love their salad by the way; love it so much, I’ve bought the dressing at Walmart. For the entree, I stick with the chicken parm; I’ve tried other entrees and it just isn’t good. Then my wife and I will eat about 4 bowls of salad and take our entree home. Have I mentioned that we’re frugal Asians?
Deal
- Buy $60 gift card from here – http://www.olivegarden.com/gift-cards
- Use coupon code OGSAVE15 for 15% off. (Thanks @mssmith864). This drops the total to $51
- Use your Amex offer saved on to your card. This’ll give you $10 off $50, so now we’re down to $41
- Use the $10 promo card from 1/4/16 to 3/31/16
You are essentially paying out of pocket $41 for $70 worth of OG. YES, I REALIZE THE PROMO CARD shouldn’t count, and so if you take that out of the equation, you’re paying $41 for $60 worth at Darden Restaurants (31% off,) still a great deal.
Promo Card
In the past, I’ve only used the promo card back at Olive Garden. I’m not sure if it works at Capital Grille or Red Lobster. The $60 gift card however should work at any of those restaurants (even after Darden’s Red Lobster sale.)
Coupon code 2GO5 gets you $5 off according to DOC. I can confirm this as true.
ah nice find John
OGSAVE15 doesn’t work?
Yeah looks like they fixed the coupon code. Deal is still good, but not as great as it was before.
