Hey when it rains, it pours, right? First, Kohl’s did me in. Then Bloomingdale’s. Ebay of all places. And now Sam’s Club. Here’s my order history:
What caused it?
I think what may have did me in was the 5 orders on May 18-19. I had switched to buying the Sam’s Club Memberships instead of regular gift cards. That was the only change. Or maybe the velocity? But if you look at the 4 orders on the 17th, it may not be the ‘short velocity.’ Or maybe it was the total velocity of 13 orders within 7 days… who really knows.
Not buying gift cards
On the May 24 order, I tried to buy a physical item split over 2 cards and that got cancelled too. I called them up and the 1st line rep couldn’t tell me why. She then looked at the other cancelled orders and wasn’t sure either. She said she’d escalate my case and someone would call me within 24 hours. That was 3 days ago. I’m not going to hold my breath.
What next?
Not really sure how to play this one out. I could create a new account, but then it’d still be tied to my Sam’s Club membership. I may just do guest checkouts (since that sorta worked on Walmart.com before they started to cancel my orders.) I still have maybe a dozen AMEX cards, and I have benefited 13 * $40 = $520 out of this AMEX Offer. This offer goes to July, so I may let this one cool off for a bit. If anyone has any advice here, please let me know.

why would you buy multiple memberships, for who? what purpose does that serve. I’m def missing something or reading this wrong.

Oh my, I don’t think the membership was the problem i did over 20 membership gift cards and NP here, I did had cancellation when using a gift card to partial pay for a VGC

Man, that’s even ballsier than me. I guess they didn’t realize what you were up to until it’s too late.
First, let it cool off. Then use a guest membership. I was able to create one with the same physical address (well I typed “West” instead of “W”) and a different email address from the previous guest membership.
I think I got about $600 in GCs out all told.
