Starting on Monday, I’ve decided to switch from full content in the email to just a quick snapshot. The reason for this is that my blog is still very small-time, and I need to show hits to the site to show “growth.” Well, if you are reading this in an email, you’ll never go out to the web page. I know, I know. I HATE newsletters that give snapshots too, but you know what, they are correct in that it does drive more interaction. I’ll revisit this decision down the road, but I hope you understand from my point of view. Hopefully, my writing and content will give you a reason to click through to the site.
Home Depot
I had visited the night when the deal broke and already the store was cleaned out of $100 cards and even $50 cards. All they had left were the $120 packs (4x$30) for something like $8.95. I chose that over the usual Shell, Arco, Olive Garden gift cards. A reader commented in FM’s lab that buying HD gift cards from the HD site triggers the $15 credit. Since my HD was checking ID for every single card I swiped, I’ll have to switch to buying HD gift cards online for my wife’s AMEX cards.
BB/Serve/RB Shutdowns
There seems to be some reports lately of Serve/RB shutdowns. I don’t think we have enough data to figure out what the culprit is, but this isn’t looking good.

For Home Depot gift cards? The FM lab is old, but it says it doesn’t pay out, but no one tried a Cartera portal, so try it out and lmk.
