Be careful when using GCs at JCrew.com

Let’s say you found a hot item from Jcrew.com that you wanted to resell.  Then you go and buy some gift cards on Raise to juice up your margins.  You place one order of quantity 1 and it ships.  A few days later, you try to buy 5 more of the same item using 4 GC’s.  A week later, you don’t have the items.  You check the tracking and J Crew had the audacity to call up UPS to re-route half the order back to them.  You notice the 4 GC’s all have a $0 balance.   You call up J Crew to find out what happened.  They tell you the order was cancelled because of some bullshit excuse that the gift cards were fraudulent and that the original buyer of the GCs needed to call in to have the GCs restored.

Turns out all 4 GC’s were bought from the same person.  So it wasn’t like it came from 4 different sources.  I’m still confused if they cancelled due to the non-“fraudulent” GCs, or if they didn’t like me buying that many of said item (flagged as reseller.)  Either way, J Crew can suck it!
