I had heard C1 requiring this months ago on some random folks, but I hadn’t seen it until this past weekend. This was on an account that was created over a year ago although it had been dormant until a few months ago. It doesn’t seem like it’s affecting ALL C1 accounts, but I can just see them forcing new accounts to go through this before they can cash out GC’s.
It’s odd because 2+ years ago, they forced you to enter a cc before you could cash out, but then they dropped that requirement. This is even more extreme than that since you have to actually log into a bank account. IMHO, this is ridiculously intrusive for a shopping portal. I’m not sure how legal let this through. At this point, I’m just going to wait it out and hope they drop this requirement down the road.
