I have had my hotmail email address for a long time now. I noticed issues years ago when AMEX would send me a snail mail saying we had issues sending you your email statements. I didn’t think much of it. Then about a year ago, I noticed I wasn’t getting Rivian emails but my wife was (she was on hotmail too.) Well it turns out Rivian sent me an email asking me to confirm my address for my free Tesla adapter, but because I never got the email, now I have to pay for one. I just assumed I maybe accidentally blocked Rivian emails although that was unlikely. Then last week, I noticed my wife’s hotmail didn’t get a couple of Ebay emails. Then for some reason the Funko store couldn’t send me 2fa emails. And it’s not that I’ve maxed out my storage capacity. And it’s not just my Hotmail email either – I manage a handful and each one has had some kind of missing emails. I don’t know if this happens to Outlook or Live.com emails and I’m not sure if this happens to Gmail either but I’ve never had an issue with an email not showing up to Gmail.
Similar to me retiring my Yahoo email address decades ago, I think it’s time to slowly transition off of my Hotmail. I don’t know if this happens to AOL.com and Yahoo.com email domains, but I know some of you coin buyers are still using those guys and I can’t imagine them having as much resources to update their email product as much as Google or even Apple. But if you’re missing emails too, I think it’s time to slowly transition off of the legacy email providers.
RIP old friend.

yahoo doing ok for now
I use hotmail. Have been missing emails for years. Very unfortunate. I use it less and less now.
