I used to carry a bifold leather wallet and it suited me fine, but I was looking for something smaller to carry around. I looked on Temu for ‘wallet’ and this was one of the first few listings. I bought it and have been pretty happy with it since. I did buy a 2nd nylon credit card sticker for the back as well.
This is how I use it:
- The spring loaded middle fits about 7 VGC if the numbers aren’t raised. If raised, about 5. This is where I put my daily VGC before I go on my MS run.
- The “front” has my license and a folded up $20 in it in one pocket. The other pocket has my all around BOA card in case the store/restaurant doesn’t take contactless payments
- The “back” has the cc that I’m going to use for the day at the grocery store and a random VGC to spend on.
There has only been one time where I realized I didn’t have any CL left on my BOA card and luckily my wife carried a backup cc. I have noticed that most restaurants are coming by with handheld contactless payment terminals. I’ve asked a few restaurants and they’ve told me to walk over to the payment terminal to tap my phone and they’d bring me by the check. So for the most part, I’d say you can get by at like 95% of restaurants with just your phone as a payment mechanism.
Not much else to say about the wallet. It’s cheap; probably will cost you $5 with the added sleeve. Of course you can’t move to this if you have a George Costanza wallet, so make sure you can get by with the few cards that it can carry.
