My last 2 AMEX charge card approvals were back in late May. I had also gotten 2 personal cards (Hilton pers, Hilton biz) approved back in late July. I then tried to re-open one of my Biz Plat apps from May (10X restaurant referral,) and after a week, I got a letter in the mail asking for form 4506T. I gave up on that app and card. Figured I had nothing to lose, I called up AMEX to reopen my app from May for the Biz Gold card. A few days later, I got an email saying I was approved for the card (and P2 got an email for the referral offer.)
I found it odd that AMEX would ask for the 4506T for the ABP but not the ABG. Maybe because the ABP has a higher af? Maybe they don’t think I can afford my 5th ABP. I just found it odd. Anyway, the lesson learned here is if you get 4506T for one AMEX product, maybe try a different product.
