There is an online site out there that lets you buy a certain denomination VGC. The post isn’t to figure out what the site is; iykyk. Anyway, they let you pick designs of the cards. I didn’t want to keep buying the same design because it’s easier for me to track different designs to different orders. In my haste however, I didn’t notice that the design I picked was actually an AMEX card and not a VGC. I didn’t realize the mistake until the order came in. Ooph.
I then emailed their support to se if they can exchange the AMEX cards for VGCs. I told them I hadn’t activated the cards yet. They responded back saying they could void the cards and credit the money back to the account, which I gladly accepted. They didn’t give me credit for the purchase fees or the shipping charge, but that’s still better than trying to liquidate $10K of AMEX cards. So if this ever happens to you (hopefully it doesn’t after you’ve read this post,) just know that they can help you out.
