Dell has banned my main account; I haven’t called to double check but I’m sure it’s because they think I’m a reseller or whatnot. The only thing I’ve done is bought XBOX LIVE GC’s. I don’t do BGs or ship to BG addresses. Let’s take a look at my order history:

I think by the summer of 2022, I got tired of all the cancellations and called in to place orders. If you call in to place a real item, it’ll go through. However, I wanted some portal rebate, and to get that, it’d have to go back to doing online orders.
Thus, I created a new account, used my wife’s name, a new AMEX card and a mailbox. On my first order, I bought a real item and it went through just fine. I was a bit concerned Dell bans by cookies/IP, but they didn’t. On my 2nd order, I bought another real item, but this time, I used a cc that was used on my banned account and it shipped just fine. On the 3rd order, I did a split payment on a $400 order using 2 of my cc’s and it worked just fine as well. I have NOT tried to buy XBOX GCs on the new account. At this point, I don’t want to poke that bear anymore and stick to physical goods.
Lesson learned is if you can’t get any orders to ship from Dell anymore, create a new account and use a new address.
I was told to apply for a reselling permit. Tried. After 1/2 a dozen calls, hours, and no one else knowing what I was talking about, concluded Dell has too many departments and seems like a branch of the TV show Severence.
Agree, even when I get one of them to agree problem fixed, afterwards orders still cancelled.
Did you change the address on the Amex to the mailbox so it matches the billing address on the order?
Or was Amex address still the same address as from the banned account?
My PO Box is in the same zip code, so I didn’t need to change anything on AMEX side.
Interesting. I know that zip code is usually all that matters, but I thought Dell still had the ability to see the CC address and then correlate the accounts.
