I know 99% of people will not have this problem, but because of some AU shenanigans years ago, I’ve hit some kind of AMEX limit whereby I can no longer add new card accounts to the same login. So now when I get a new AMEX, I have to create a new login and it’s very annoying because I have to redo bank accounts and it also prevents me from linking cards. I used to be able to move credit lines easily online but because 2 cards aren’t under the same login, they can’t see each other to move credit lines.
A few weeks ago I picked up an EDP and it only came with a 10K CL. My personal Hilton had a 17K CL collecting dust. I dreaded calling Amex to move the CLs but it had to be done. I for sure thought they’d say it’s not possible because they couldn’t link the cards or because the EDP is too new but after a 10 minute phone call, they were able to move the credit line successfully.
So if anyone else has this login problem, all is not lost
