Got a letter in the mail a few weeks ago from Navy Federal telling me to stop buying gift cards to earn rewards. On the bright side it was a warning and not an immediate shutdown.
What was my volume? Well, I had sock drawered this card for years now. On a 15K CL, I spent 3K on the July statement and then 56K on my August statement. In my defense, I had heard they DGAF about MS but either I ramped up too quickly and got my eyes on my account or they actually do care. Luckily I only did $10K in September when the letter went out. Proceed with caution folks.

If you haven’t used it in years then spent 4x the credit limit, they’re watching you because they are worried about bust-out fraud.
Not to mention they won’t take your echecks.
