My 12 months on my Discover Miles card ended last month. Now on month 13, Discover matched my cashback. I then tried to call them up to product change to the IT card, but they said I couldn’t because I was still enrolled in the Match program. I told them that’s not the case since I JUST got the match today. The rep then tried to override it, but while on hold, I got transferred to the credit team, who then transferred me back to a different CSR who said the same thing. The 2nd rep said I wouldn’t be eligible to PC until April, 3 months away. That makes no sense unless they’re worried about returns or something?!? I’ll try to call them in a few weeks or next month to try the product change again.
