I had written up about the US Mint coin deal last week. Wanted to give an update on the process and whatnot in this post.

1. Create an account on the US Mint web site TODAY! Don’t wait until the morning of or when you’re about the buy the coin to do that. Add your shipping and billing addresses as well as your credit card number
2. On Thursday at 5 minutes before noon EST (9AM PST), go out to the coin web site (and make sure you’re logged in.)
3. At exactly noon (use time.gov to double check), refresh the site and add to cart and check out. I’M TELLING YOU NOW – THE SITE WILL CRASH! You may not be able to load the coin’s page. At final checkout, your credit card info won’t be pulled in correctly. Just expect shit not to work. But you gotta keep trying and try to capture the flag on time. I also recommend you are on a computer with a wired LAN connection.
4. You can select BUDGET SHIPPPING (no need for overnight). The coin is $65.95 + $4.95 shipping for a total cost of $70.90.
5. Once you get the “Your US Mint order has been confirmed” email, fwd it to coinsperday@gmail.com
6. When you receive the box in the mail, DO NOT OPEN THE BOX!
7. Tell your roommate, your significant other, anyone that lives with you, your neighbor DO NOT OPEN THE BOX!

1. When you have the UNOPENED MINT BOX, you’ll need to mail me the coin. You can go to USPS, buy a USPS Priority with tracking label (no need for signature) and you can slap it over the existing label . If you have multiple coins, I suggest you consolidate into one box. Additional insurance is up to you. This will cost ~$10-$15 depending on where you are and whether you got insurance.
2. Address is TBD for now (check back later).
3. You will fill out this Google form with the tracking number as well as your payment details.
4. When I receive your box, then I will remit payment per the details in the form.
5. The current payout is $250 all in per coin. Remember your cost is $71 + ~$15 ship = $86, so net profit is ~$164 per coin.

Quick Q/A:

1. What happens if I accidentally open the box? Email me. I may not take the coin and you may be asked to return it.
2. When do I need to ship you the coins by? ASAP, but if you need a date, probably before Thanksgiving.
3. If I have multiple coins, can I ship it in one box? Yes.
4. What’s the max number of coins I can ship in one box? As many as you want
5. If I had a friend buy for me, who fills out the form? The form is how I will remit payment, so if you want your friend to be paid for his order, then he should fill out the form.
6. If I bought 2 coins myself and want to be paid for both coins, do I fill out the form twice? No, 1 form per payee.
7. What if my mom bought a coin and she’ll ship it to you, but I want to be paid for it? Only you need to fill out the form (there are multiple tracking number boxes)
8. What if I have more than 5 tracking numbers? Fill out a second form
9. What if my coin is on backorder? Email me and we can discuss.
