Ever since the Chase Starbucks prepaid Visa card launched, you could add the card to Venmo and pay someone. It was essentially a pajama play – load the card with money, liquidate with Venmo (3K a week so let’s call it 12K a month.) That nets you 1200 Starbucks stars a month.
You can then either drink it off or you can get 3 x ~$20 items with the 1200 stars. Not a huge money maker, but it takes less than a minute to load and unload, so you can’t go wrong. Well as of 9/18, when you try to use the card on Venmo, you get the following error. Guess you’ll have to liquidate the old fashioned way.
