I had some sold tickets on Stubhub as mobile transfer tickets from Ticketmaster. In the past, SH would give you the person’s name and personal email to transfer the tickets to. This wasn’t the best way because there would be people out there who don’t check their emails and never see the TM email until the day of the concert, and call up SH in a panic, who then calls you while you’re out at dinner to see if you can re-transfer the tickets(!) It also was bad because of privacy rules since you know the buyer’s personal email address now. In the past week, I’ve seen that SH now wants you to send tickets to what looks like a Gmail account that they set up (don’t ask me why they can’t set up their own email addresses in house like “mobiletransfer123456@stubhub.com” (idiots!))
With this new way of transferring tickets, SH automatically knows when you’ve sent the transferred tickets, and you don’t have to deal with last minute issues anymore. Kudos to SH for making this painful process a bit easier. It doesn’t seem ALL mobile transfer tickets are set up this way yet, but I’m sure they will eventually get to all of them.
