The last time I was approved for a BoA personal Alaska Visa card was back in Jan 2017. I cancelled it in May 2017. I then tried in July 2017 and got rejected. I then tried again in August 2018 and was rejected (I think this was due to my recent HPs and the Tesla loan.) I finally decided to give it a shot again in December 2018 and was approved instantly for a 21K CL. I figured my Tesla loan impact would have died down by then.
For the business BoA Alaska card, I last got the card in July 2017 (yes the same day my personal one was rejected.) I kept the card until August 2018. I applied for it too on the same day I got approved for the personal one in December 2018. I got the pending answer, but a few days later, I got an email saying I was approved.
I pushed my luck and tried to get their premium card later that day, and I don’t remember if I was immediately rejected or I got the rejection letter in the mail a week later.
Lessons Learned – I’m not really sure. It’s hard to churn BoA these days. I have’t followed all the new rules with BoA. I’ll wait until I get the companion pass next year and then cancel the cards.
