Yes, I’m still on the Hamilton bandwagon. I figured Buffalo would be a ‘balcony’ type of city, so I had some people buy tickets for me. Let’s cut to the chase – it was UGLY. Total ROI was about -28% and I even ate a pair of tickets. I hadn’t eaten a pair of tickets since Las Vegas. The reason why these were so bad – the theater decided to hold back tickets and just released a crapton of tickets after the verified fan sale. Not only that, the newly released tickets were CHEAPER than the price you paid originally. I’m okay with theaters releasing new tickets, but in the past, those tickets have always been higher priced. I’ve never seen one that dropped for lower. That virtually killed any resale. To make matters worse – there is a floor that you can list tickets for back on Ticketmaster. For instance, if you paid say $150 face value per ticket, TM wouldn’t let you sell it for under say $100. It’s RIDICULOUS. So you have to resell them on Stubhub so you don’t eat them. Anyway, even if Buffalo was a mess, Columbus and Cincinnati are looking positive right now. Win some, lose some in this game.
By the way, here’s Friday night’s seat map. Those pink seats will not sell at all!
