I know more and more people have gotten axed by Chase lately, and let me be the first to tell you… it’s gonna be alright. I was banned 2 years ago and life has moved on. First off, if you’ve gotten the email that you’ve been axed, try to call them up to ask them to reconsider like some people have successfully done. While that’s pending, you’ll probably go through the five stages of grief so let that take its course. Let me help you reach acceptance:
Become an AU on someone else’s card
Hopefully your parents aren’t banned either. Have them add you as an AU once the dust settles a bit. You can generate Chase UR that way. Need Hyatt points, have them transfer from their Hyatt to yours. Need a United booking? Nothing wrong with a parent booking a ticket for a child. Need a Korean booking? Same as United. Need some BA miles? Use an MR card. Need Singapore? Use TYP. You get the picture.
You’ll just need to do this for a while until Chase hopefully lets you back in. Unlike BoA and Citi, Chase is more lenient in letting people back in, so that’s some good news.
What to do with your time
Most likely if you were axed from Chase, you were/are a semi-HH. That means you’ve been churning and/or MS’ing a lot, and most likely have lots of points saved up already. And you’ve probably already transitioned to cashback anyway. Heck, I still have something like 500K United collecting dust cuz I can’t find a good use for them. So focus less on points and try to just get more cashback on other cards.
What card do you use
Let’s face it, you probably sock drawer’ed most of your Chase cards. Your Ink card was probably your most used card, so try to get that card as an AU since there’s no replacing that. As for the CSR, there are other cards you can use instead travel, dining, groceries, and gas. Plus it wasn’t like you were generating a ton of points in those categories only.
How to get back in
I’ve read the best way to get back in is to wait it out… maybe a year or so. Then apply for a checking account and get back in that way. Once that takes, then apply for a non-5/24 card and see if they let you back in. Cross your fingers.

hey what are the cash back cards u hit
It took me eight years to get back into Chase’s good graces. It involved opening some personal checking accounts and being added as an AU on a bunch of cards. I was denied for CSP and Marriott Biz before ultimately being approved for Marriott Biz on a separate application.
Agree. I was ChaseBanned last month, but I was so far under 5/24 I wasn’t likely to get another card anytime soon anyway, and waiting for OD/OM deals was getting tedious. You don’t want to deal with me Chase? No worries: it’s not like there’s a shortage of banks.
Any idea what caused the banned? I was banned last week by Barclays on arrival plus. Ms 30-60k per month.
